Tonneau Cover for 2010 Ranger FX4

Just tried to install a Truxport Low Pro QT tonneau cover. The cover's aluminum header at the front of the bed is a bit too wide for the factory plastic bed caps....about 1/8 inch too wide. And I don't want to remove the bed caps if at all possible.

The factory bed caps will probably be an issue for other tonneau covers that sit on the inside of the bed caps.

Any confirmed recommendations of a tonneau cover that will WORK with the factory plastic bed caps? Thanks.

My Undercover Tonneau fits with the caps.

Not sure what style of cover you want, but my Extang Trifecta fits fine with the bed caps.

So far, it appears to me that the "problematic" tonneau covers are those that fit between the bed rails/caps. Looking at either trimming the aluminum header on the QT or putting it on my Mazda 4x2.

Mine's from Ford, worked it in as part of the purchase. It's the tri-fold model, and the dealer charged $349, holds on with 4 locks and takes about 30 seconds to remove.

Since it was much cooler today with a few showers, I had managed to get the QT header squeezed in between the two rails. Scratched off some black paint on the header in the process....but got it done finally. Will need to wait for the next hot day to adjust the tension control initially.
