Horn on 2010: Wimpy sounding?

Anyone here thinks that the horn on a 2010 or other recent Rangers sound wimpy? My 1996 Mazda has much better sounding horn. Anyway to change it to become more "forceful" sounding?

buy a new horn. You can pick them up at most any auto parts store

I agree on the Ranger horns... mine is extremely lame sounding. I kept mine though... but I now have a pair of air horns off an old Freightliner for backup, mounted where my spare tire used to be!

I bought a second horn for mine. Picked it up on sale for about $10 at P.A. a while back. Same style as OEM.

The electric horns usually come with 2 different notes, so if you can figure out which one you have and buy the complementary one, it makes a huge difference. I haven't permanently installed mine yet, though. But I tested it out, and it definitely sounds a lot less like a kazoo when you have 2 horns.

The stock horn relay should be fine for 2 horns. Just splice it into the existing horn wire. It looks like you can even use the bracket and mount it on the same bolt, so no drilling needed.

If Princess Auto were a real girl, I'd ask her to marry me.
