Custom bumper

The top one would fit my truck, man that would be an awesome bumper with a winch but they are made in the USA.
I wonder how much it would cost to have something made like that here?

I kinda like the lower ranger bumper more just add the winch to it and boom there you go, I'd take the picture to a metal shop with your truck and ask if they would build it for you and cost.

That bumper looks pretty nice, but I'm guessing shipping might be a killer.

To make one yourself, you might talk to a fabrication shop. I suspect it would be more expensive than buying "off the shelf", though. The one in your link probably has all the dimensions and patterns ready to go, and that's half the battle.

You could do something like make a cardboard mockup, then transfer the dimensions to Autocad, or Google Sketchup, and have the components cut out at a waterjet or plasma cutter shop out of steel plate. Then MIG weld them together, paint or powder coat. That's a little beyond me, though. Even doing that, I don't know how much money you'd be saving, if any?

If Princess Auto were a real girl, I'd ask her to marry me.

That is a nice bumper. I built one very similar for my F150. I am a welder at a fabrication shop and I can tell you can that having a bumper custom built at a shop will cost alot! As it was previously said the bulk of the cost will come from the actual fabbing, if you could provide dimensions or even better some drawings you save a ton. If you bring a shop some pictures of what you want they could provide a quote and you could judge for yourself.

I wish I could but I can't do it off hours so shop rates would still apply. You would be no futher ahead. Larger shops don't alot of one off smaller projects, no time for it. Rock sliders would be super simple you could have something real nice for not that much. What I would do is find a small one man operation and talk with them. A bumper still won't be cheap but you could get exactly what your looking for. If you have any questions I'd be happy to help.

Cheers

I found these rock sliders. A basic fab shop could do them up real easy. Take them home and paint them youself or get some roll on bed liner could look pretty good.
