TB cleaning

Gonna try to clean it tomorrow (weather dependant)..anyone tried it on the 04-08 series?..am i gonna have to take it off or can i do it in place? I picked up some cleaner from Crappy Tire for throttle bodies..wish me luck...and if i get real ambitious, the fuel filter is getting changed too..One change in 62,000 km ain't bad i guess. This will be #2.

I buy the gasket from ford about 5 bucks and clean it every year. It get alot of black stuff on it, helps with the gas mileage. It take about 5 minutes to remove. I use the seafoam cleaner from Partsouce.

Well, i still haven't done this. The girlfriend was supposed to drive my quad up to put gas in it. She somehow managed to roll the 800lb beast on top of herself right on the road. broke her wrist and road rash on her head and knee..good thing she had a helmet on..barely hurt the bike..broke the lens that covers the speedo and a little scrape on the winch control and brake fluid container..oh yeah, some bystanders found the throttle adj screw that has been missing for awhile.

Holy crap Glen - scary stuff. I guess this might be a case of getting off lucky with a broken wrist and some road rash?

Here's hoping for a quick recovery for your girlfriend....glad to hear the quad was relatively un-injured as well!!
