08 F150 DRL's

Hey guys,
Do the DRL's on the F150's stay on all the time even when the park brake is on? I did a search online and it's my understanding that they dont shut off on the Fords?? In the morning when im warming up my truck im lighting the people accross the street bedrooms,or I cant run my truck when im listing to tunes in the parking lot at work. If there's no fix for it,how can I disable them without affecting anything else?

Thanks

Older trucks you used to be able to put a switch in to shut them off. I believe it was wired positive to ground but can't quite remember. " Must be old age!' Check with a dealership mechanic.

Such is life. Just passing through.

Helps with alien mind probes as well, but for 100% protection you need a hat.

Just for conversation's sake, the DRL's on the newer models stay off until you put the truck in gear.

On my 05, I found the resistor on the drivers side of the rad.It is on the grill side of the rad support under the rubber cover, by the headlight. Unplug it and it goes back to normal.

x2

You can't miss it. Driver side just below the headlight by the rad. Unplug it and no more DRL's.

If you look in your owners manuel there is a section that explains how to disable the DLR's
when your truck is in park . I had the same concerns because I leave so early in the am and
my lights were waking up my neighbour.

Load It Like A Railcar........................... Drive It Like A Stockcar..........................

I did mine because I use my auto lights and I was having issues with my HID's on start-up, they draw a lot of power to get going and usually only 1 would end up coming on with the combination of the lights trying to come on and the engine needing power to turn over. You guys are just too nice if you disable them so you don't wake up your neighbors.
