Bambi and Gotts mods

Did some searching and actually found some info on here but nothing recent. Anyone on here been running either of these mods for an extended period of time. I have been reading on some of the other forums but all I keep reading is about how some guy in california says it's not necessary and some guy from Arkansas says these are the best mods ever besides his window mounted rifle rack.
thks

I have both on my truck. The Bambi mod is worth it if you drive at night a lot in areas that have a lot of thick bush, you can see forever. As for the GOTTS mod, I did it and then got a K&N Filter and now the truck seems to have less hesitation on acceleration and also runs about 100rpm lower at highway speed.

The total time between the 2 mods was about an hour. The bambi mod took me 5 minutes and the GOTTS mod time was mostly sanding to get the right fit. Total it all cost me $8.

OK OK... I'll ask the stupid question.

What the hell is a Bambi and a GOTTS mod ?

Never heard of them, although I'm going to take a wild guess and say Bambi has something to do with deer .

The Bambi mod is a mod that works for 04-08 trucks (you can also do it to a 97-03 truck but its a little different) that modifies the lightning system so that when you activate your highbeams your foglights do not go off like they would normally do on a stock truck.

The GOTTS is a mod that removes the stock fender inlet from your intake and replaces it with a larger diameter pipe (3" pipe) to increase air flow in to the intake. I've only ever seen it done on 04-10 trucks, although I've heard it doesn't work as well on the 09-10 trucks.

This is it done on my truck. Normally the pipe going in to the fender would taper down to about a 2" inside diameter but now its stays 3" all the way.
