Did everyone get a Ford tpms tool?

My manual says truck should have came with one and none came with my truck. Tpms is acting up so thinking need to reset it? Seen some on ebay so will have to get one. Stealership is too far away for me. '08 f150 scab.

I've had an '04, '09 and the current '11, and none of them had a TPMS tool included.

There has been some good discussion's about the whole TPMS system ( if memory serves, I think b4000 hates the fact they're even installed because people were too stupid to check their tire pressure !!!lol)

Some would argue that if you stay on top of your tire pressure and check it regular, you just need to put a piece of electrical tape over the offending dashboard indicator.

I think this one may come down to personal choice....how expensive are the tools on ebay ?

Never heard of anyone getting the tool with their truck. They wouldn't do that because everyone would be trying to re-set tire pressures!

Such is life. Just passing through.

Yeah it is just annoying. Once I had a nail and was able to tell the ride steering off to one side a bit before the light went on. So figure they activate maybe around 15-20 psi guessing. Seen 3 on ebay were around the $45 range which shipping to Canada from the states was ranging from 25-70. Seriously? $70 shipping for a little plastic box looks to be same size as my remote starter.

Was just curious as in the manual for the truck said it came with vehicle. Will put some electrical tape over it on the dash.

On my 2011 it picked up a difference at when one dropped to 30 psi

6psi difference from the rest.

I actually had to test all 4 because it didn't look low at all.

Side note: If some sellers south of the border can't be bothered with the hassle of shipping to Canada, they'll post an outrageous shipping cost.

I was looking at a 2004 F150 dealer poster a guy had, but he wanted $30 to ship it.

The last batch of two Raptor posters I got came in a shipping tube from Florida for less than $10.

I sent the guy with the '04 poster a question asking if he was seriously charging $30 to ship a poster, but got no response.

If you really want one, keep up the search, someone will be reasonable about it.

Ahh, I see the reason for the high shipping. Yeah a lot of places in states do not wan't the hassle of just going to USPS to ship to Canada and only prefer UPS.

Also don't really want one, was just looking at manual and said truck came with them but mine didn't as for the reason posting thread. I just put a piece of electrical tape over it to stop seeing it. Problem solved. I always do check the tires on a weekly basis anyway as we only have gravel roads up north.

Not a bad idea, and maybe sometime if you're heading to a town that has a dealership, call ahead and see if they can book you in, or maybe do a quick parking lot courtesy check of all four corners.

Sounds to me like maybe you've got a bad sensor, but I'm just guessing.

Would be nice to go to a dealership. But only options are to fly it to one and back(guessing 10000-15000 each way) or ship it out on sealift one year one way and wait till next years sealift to get it back. Don't want to be without vehicle for a year. Live in Nunavut no roads in or our.
