have fun. Easy if you've got a complete donor truck with all wiring, ECU, etc etc etc

I think he means a 2011+ 5.0, but either way it wouldn't be easy.

etest would be the easy part. Since the 5.0 wasn't offered out of the factory in the truck it would be run as a "modified" or in other words "hot rod" vehicle. No need to pass the etest just run it under conditional. Problem is if he sold it later the next owner would have huge problems getting it on the road

On the contrary, it would still need to be etested. Just it gets tested against higher limits.

I've seen a couple coyote 5.0l engines with full wiring harnesses on kijiji.

Def gunna be some challenges. Things like the message center. Transmission sensors. Bcm to PCM talk. Vehicle anti theft. Even allowing the truck to start.

You might need someone who can crack the programming of the coyote engine and reprogram it, taking out some of the problematic stuff.

Why not just drop a S/C on yours? Cost about the same $. But you'll have more power. Especially low end.

5.0l is a high rpm engine. 5.4 is a lower torque power engine.

That all depends on what year your truck is? Eaton can be made to work on a 2 valve 5.4L but not a 3V 5.4. If you have a 3V 5.4 there are lots of S/C options out there that will get you to around 450hp and 500ld/ft.

trust me no limits, how do you think I got my F150 done? You run it the 1st time it fails, you get estimate on what it'll take to get it to pass (more than $400 and you don't have to get the work done) then you run it second time for conditional. Been doing mine this way for the last 8yrs
