Used F150

A buddy of mine out in Calgary is looking at this truck. Is there anything about these model years that he should look for specifically, or just the usual stuff when buying used?
Thanks in advance

Maintenance records. Specifically spark plugs, oil changes, and possibly cam phasers..

Dead ringer for an '04 FX4 I owned……can't recall 100%, but wasn't this one of the years that there was the concern about plugs seized in the heads and snapping in half when you tried to take them out ?

Little rough around the edges, (running boards look like crap, seats have seen better days) but the mileage isn't terrible at 140,000.

Looks to be in good shape but its an 04. Definitely find out about the plugs. I'd check to see if it has the new IWE solenoid on the firewall with the rain hood, if it doesn't I'd give the IWE's at the wheels a good test to make sure they're working right. When he test drives it make sure he listens for chatter from the rear diff, the clutch packs like to wear out. Also listen for a heavy tick at idle, could need cam phasers or vct solenoids.
