f150 budget cat replacement options-southern Ontario

So I bought a great looking older f150 and now looks like I'm in for a Cat replacement.
I'm getting the code p0430 bank 2 cat efficiency.
I'm seeing lots of guys talking about using magnaflow cats to replace but also seeing a lot of bad reviews of them on another f150 (USA) forum. Looking to see if i can save some $$ by ordering from the US but Does anyone know if 48 state legal will pass Ontario emissions? I'm planning on getting a universal and let a shop weld it in for me. Likely need to replace o2 sensor as well.

06 f150 screw xlt.

What would you guys recommend? Flowmaster/Wagner/Eastern/Bosal? And if I replace one will it sound "funny"?

Thanks Bones

Cat replacement options 06 f150 xlt

Need to replace a cat. looking at aftermarket options.

Hearing bad things about magnaflow quality. What other budget options are there? I don't need fancy, just need to pass the e test and get rid of the CEL.

I found direct fit Wagner Cats around $400.

Seen some universal Cats on US sites under $100 but i don't know if they would work well. Anyone tried cheap Cats? What works?

I'm in Ontario. Kitchener area.

I googled it but I'm not familiar with a 3 gas cat. Nothing comes up.
Do you have a link?

It is very important to have the shop identify why the catalytic converter failed. Failure is almost always due to another problem, which if not resolved, will quickly ruin a new catalytic converter.

A failing catalytic converter can cause a Ford F-150 to fail emissions tests and the Check Engine Light to illuminate. The exhaust might have an unusual smell.
A "restricted" catalytic converter can result in a loss of engine power.

Press on regardless!

Good call Big Daddy. No driveability/performance issues as yet but going to take it in to get looked at next week. Hopefully find the cause.
