Cool Looking for front Sway 2004

Just started to look again for a front sway bar for a 2004 ford f 150. This is my second truck and my kid is driving it. So I think it is time to try to fix it up a bit so he does not have any problms. My local for dealer has had no luck in finding a brand new one. They told me that they sold the parts to this year of truck to some private company? I'm not sure of this but that is what they said. I live in Winnipeg Manitoba so a part from the other end of the country may not be worth it. If any one has an idea that would be great. Going to the local wrecking yard to see if I can get a used one. I have gone this route before with no luck. I will try it again
thanks to all in advance.

Dan

When you've been to the local wrecker, is it they don't have any because someone else got it first, they're broken, or they just didn't have one? My f150 didn't originally have any. When I did the 4x4 conversion, I added front and rear. It did make the ride a little tighter, for lack of a better description. The question mutates into, do you need one?

Thanks guys for the info. As for the question, do I really need one I'm mot sure. Ford put it on there for a reason. So I think would think it would be a good idea to have one. I'll start looking around again once the snow is no it'sway out I guess. I can play the sway thing to SVT4MT hahahaa thanks again guys

I'm not swayed by that argument. Ford put lots of thing in for a reason. It doesn't mean it was a good one. If you originally had one then you should attempt to procure another. Sometimes looking at other trucks may give you the desired result. What about the F250 LD? It may be a little heavier duty but may also fit. But, that's just the way I sway.
