Painting the chrome?

hey all
new to this forum

just had a question
i am blacking out my truck.... in the works...but since i have the lariat trim i have all this chrome.
who has had all of their chrome painted ?
or would it be better if i found some fx4 bumbpers.

I am no body paint person BUT....I would think it would be better to find some FX4 bumpers instead of trying to paint chrome bumpers!!!

Go with the FX bumpers, re-painting the chrome could cause premature paint wear.

is there somewhere where i could buy the front and rear bumper and would the 04 fx4 bumpers be fine ? for fitment.

I used to paint my chrome bike exhaust because they became a bit rusty. It's doable,but you have to sand the chrome with a fine sandpaper until there's no more shiny look. After that, i used to sand it with a finer wet sandpaper. Does a great job... but took a lot of time to do (and it's cheaper than bying new ones). By the way, welcome

thats an idea but ive never done it before and i dont really have much time im trying to work lots so i can get lots of money lol
why i was looking the route of getting someone to do it or buy new ones ive seen the fx4 ones for 300 for front and 350-400 for rear.
