Talking Engine code

I have a question regarding engine codes.

I have the w (4.6L EFI-SOHC) from romeo engine plant.

What's the difference with the code 6 (4.6L EFI-SOHC) from windsor engine plant ?

Thanks 4 ur help

I think its just stating which plant that motor came from so if there had to be a recall for some reason it may just be for motors from a certain plant. That way if they said "Motors from the Windsor plant are ok but the ones from Romeo have a problem" then you would know if you needed to be concerned or not. I really don't think there is a difference mechanincally with the motors from different plants since they are all made with the same parts the same way.

Whaddya mean I dont pay my bills?? Whydya think I'm broke!!

Thanks 4 ur reply

Hope ur right.

I just ordered a muffler and a left exhaust manifold with code 6 while mine is W. I think the code 6 have a bit more HP if I understood the chart I saw yesterday, before posting but it still a 4.6 with SOHC and EFI.
Guess all 4.6 are using some similar parts since they all are...4.6 engines.

Anyway, should receive my parts by may 22nd... will see then

Will take a look on the week-end to see if it's the same.
