Angry A day from hell today

So I get up this morning and the truck is dead. Battery el dead o. So off to the dealer and go to parts counter to get a new one. Parts guy says hey maybe warranty? Cool I run out to the truck grab insurance papers for the VIN and slam the door. Keys on front seat and door is locked. No keypad or spare key. Back inside dealer find out yes to warranty.great but my keys are
locked in the truck, no problem can I borrow a slim jim to open the door? So
out to the truck I go and proceed to get the slim jim jammed in the door and it aint coming out!!!! So back inside and parts makes a door key for me. Hey
im in the truck but I have a slim jim sticking out of the door glass. by the way they are ilegal in BC. So I drive home and take the door panel off and retreive the damm tool. Back to the dealer and truck is fixed and I got a day off work. Damm Flu

that sucks to hear, but why didnt they just use a key from another truck? theres only like 4 different f150 keys around... they wont all start the vehicles, but they will open the doors.

Matt yes they have the chip and I just about fell over on the price but you have no choice. If you have 2 keys then you can program a 3rd key by yourself so Im going to get a 3rd key cut and then I'll program it myself. and to Bush it was quick drive home thank god I dont know what I would tell the cop... I posted my day so that maybe we could all have a laugh)))))

I thought it was funny picturing you driving around with a slim Jim sticking out the door panel! lol

I have the same issue 1 chipped key and I'm too cheap to pay 100 bucks for a spare, would be the smart thing to do though
