Fuel mileage

I've just returned from a nice relaxing trip down to the Carolinas, took the Harley truck for it's maiden long voyage and here's the results.

Total distance driven: 4330 kms / 2691.8 miles

Total fuel used: 129.57 imp gals

Average fuel economy: just under 21 mpg or whatever that is in ltrs/100km.

My truck has a Magnaflow 16616 Cat Back exhaust, AFE Stage 2 CAI and the Gryphon programmer running an 87 octane perf tune.

Overall I am very pleased with the results especially since my highway speeds were usually 8 mph over the posted limit to a max of 75 mph.

Filling up not to the top of the neck and don't forget, that's Average fuel economy... and those figures are for Canada

Stock Harley 22" wheels and I believe it's a 3.73 rear end.

Good point.......I forgot I have a hard folding Extang tonneau as well..........
It must be a combination of the wheel size and tonneau that are the difference, because we do have the same mods!

True enough, I guess my ARE provides some sort of aerodynamics, kind of like rounding the corners on a brick...

do you have any pics? Sorry I have not looked through this website to see your truck.
Ever since I got my truck, whenever I drive I check out other Mustangs and pickup trucks now. Last weekend on my way back from Blackstock in my truck, heading south hwy 50 I met up with 3 other F150's. Two were FX4s. One was a black 4dr FX4 with dual exhaust. I was like HOLY SH*T, my twin but with an extra couple doors. Did the thumbs up as I passed... :icon_wink:
