there is so many of them

From most popular and overrated K&N to some good ones like AFE or Air Force 1 (3" tube, which I think is the best)

Hope this helps and I think some other members will give you some more input

BTW

Any pictures yet????????

Im also looking at buying a CAI for my 2008 but the more I search and read about cold air intakes on these trucks the more undecided I am about which one to buy....

I guess it comes down to what other mods your planning on doing or personal preferance as most of the better kits all seem to be rated about the same.

I have an Airaid intake system, I like the filter more than K&N, its called synthaflow and traps much more dirt. I was looking at a volant system but they dont make as much noise as an semi open system. As for power upgrades I still have never seen any power increases with a cold air system, however I never dyno'ed any of the ones that I have had, they just make the sweet sounds.

anything over 3.0" will require a tune from my understanding. that's why most stick with a 3". these 04-08 f150's run lean to begin with and with a cai just adds to that. that's why most people that add a cai will also get a custom tune to accomadate for the extra air.

I would recommend KN&N. KN&N is probably the only companies out there that test every single CAI that they make. If they say # HP that's what you'll get. If you got the 5.4L you'll get 15.47HP.

I would recommend Kn&n from personal experience and selling it to my customers...never one that came back to tell me it didn't help.

Email me at [email protected] if you'll like a price.
