Steering Fluid

I was wondering if anyone out there has the answer. The Ford dealership that services my truck, has informed me at 30 thousand miles, that I need to change my "power steering fluid".Is this need to be done?
This is the first time I ever heard of such a thing.

The colour of the fluid in the reservoir is a light amber. Theres no leaks and I cain't find
any problem with steering that they would want to change the fluid..

Any vehicle that has rack and pinion steering should have the system flushed about every 30,000 KM. This will help keep the seals healthy and prolong the life of the rack.
