Changing mirrors on an 2008 F150

Hi, I have an 2008 F150 supercrew with towing mirrors. I’d like to swap with a buddy as I prefer the smaller ones and he wants my big ones. Before I start, can anyone offer advice on the remove/install? Looks like the entire inside door panel needs to be removed, any tricks? Thanks.

Reflect on this endeavor carefully. I know it's not much help but it needed to be said.

I belive he is saying, make sure you really want to make the swap. You may miss those mirrors once they are gone

I agree with them. Make sure you really want to make the change or if after change and you want the original ones back make sure you can get them back.

Here is how to change them, there are 2 screws on the bottom of door panel, pop off the speaker cover and remove speaker and mounting tabs, remove cover behind door handle and remove screws, and remove cover at in bottom of inside door pull and remove screw, pull up and outwards on door panel, unhook elec connector and 4 nuts retaining mirror to door.

edit-BTW welcome to the forum!!
