I think its 30mm deep socket. I put my kit in with out pulling the shock, but much easier
with shock out.

Send a message via MSN to Northern Supercrew
As per Hellbentsteels's instructions

Step 7 7. Next remove the struts lower bolt. Using a 27 mm wrench, hold
the nut and remove the bolt with a 30 mm socket.

good luck and post some pics of before and after.

EDIT...Murray beat me to it..lol

Well tried it again and no dice. I can't get the balljoint out no matter what. Is anyone in the North Edmonton St.Albert AB area willing to spare an hour and help me. I can't afford to take it to a shop but I have beer and pizza . I tried a ball joint separator and heat and soaking it in wd40. Grrrrrrrrr

you shouldn't have to separate lower ball joint, just make sure not to lift under control arm, undo strut top 3 nuts and lower bolt and remove strut assm.

a moments silence for the shelbyx,i hope her new owner enjoys as much.

put jack under the control arm, jack it up till you see the spindle move up so the upper control arm is at natural possession, the upper a arm nut is a 19or21mm socket. take that nut off. wack with a ball peen hammer the spindle where the upper ball joint goes in the spindle 2-5x, lower jack a lil the upper ball join should come out.
