FX2 or XTR??

Hey, im looking to trade in my 07 Ranger 4x2 and get an F150 i was looking at an 07 FX2 and an 07 XTR, im stuck in a dilemma here i like the look of the FX2 but don't know how it'll do in the winter, my ranger right now is alright in winter but it has a hard time going from off the line even with weight in the back. Both trucks are going for about the same price, but i dont know which to choose.

Does anyone have an FX2 they drive in the winter, any suggestions would help!

Thanks!

Heres the FX2

And the XTR

Yeah i don't do any off-roading, just city and the cottage but my ranger does fine even to the cottage so i dont see the FX2 being a problem

Kind of in the same situation.

Would I be able to add leveling kit and 33" or 35" to a FX2?

good Tires and 2wd can be better then 4x4 with shit tires. I won't own a 4x4 because I would want to go offroading and that gets expensive in damages

I was planning on seeing how it performs in the winter with the stock tires and if its crap then I would look into getting some A/T

I didn't get to drive mind much this past winter (this being my first winter owning this truck) but it drove fine. You should be OK if your only drive around the city with it. It seems to me anyway that we get less and less snow every year.

You will definitely need winter tires and rims if you buy that FX2, it looks like it has the 20's and those wide tires are greasy in the snow even if you were 4wd.

For Canadian winters, I'd get the 4x4 if at all possible. Been stuck too many times with a 4x2....even with winter tires and several hundred pounds of sand. I only go off road for work purposes.
