04 f150 turn signal problem

So I have been havin a strange issue with the turn signals lately. They work some days, and others it'll blink a couple times and stop. and now they just don't work at all. When I innitially switch the signal it very briefly flashes just once and stays off after that.

All other lights are working fine, and even the hazard lights are fine.

I was told the flasher for the turn signals is the same for the hazard lights. If that's the case it likely isn't the flasher. And since the lights come on for the hazard lighting it likely isn't bulbs.

I seem to think I notice the problem more frequently during rain as well, but maybe I'm being paranoid.

Loose wire in the signal shifter maybe? Unless moisture could get into somewhere that might effect only the turn signals.

Anyone else had this problem?

try testing the m/f switch, test for cont beween pin1/8,1/7 for lh,pin 1/5,1/6 for rh should be closed(low resistance)when in position.

a moments silence for the shelbyx,i hope her new owner enjoys as much.

If memory serves the multi-function switch is a one piece plug and play type assembly. Chances are if you're having an issue with your signals it's the switch that's faulty, especially given that your four-ways still work fine.

If you find shelby's test shows a faulty switch it's a pretty simple repair.
