success

finally changed my sparks plugs. a bit of a pain in the u know what, but got it done. For those who may not no. Champion makes a one peace spark plug so it wont snap when you try to loosen it. part number is 7989.

Truck is running better.

Congrats..any break?. Did you do anything special to prepare for the job?..from my understanding, Ford makes a newer 1 piece plug now too..Not sure if it fits in the 04-07 years.

Hey Glen I did soak them in WD40 then cranked it a bit to seep in there let it sit there for about 20 mins. Pretty much had to tighten them and loosen them, did that over and over until they came out. I did have 3 out of the eight split. i know Champion makes a one peace for an 04-08, im going to look into the ford plugs aswell, thanks Glen

Great job seeing that your truck has 165,000 on it...I've read on other forums that people are having luck with a 3/8 drive impact gun for plug removal. I mean, if they're gonna break, they're gonna break... Did you have the "tool" handy just in case. Lisle makes one too.

you'll have to keep us in the loop for durability of the plugs,i've never had good luck with crampion plugs in ford products.

a moments silence for the shelbyx,i hope her new owner enjoys as much.
