Programmers.. which one to buy?

Hi guys,

i wanted to try a programmer on my 2009 F250 and i was wondering, which one should i buy to make sure i do not f..up my truck which is still under guarantee? Is it reversible if we make any changes? Let say to bring it to the dealer for some repairs or if there is recalls?

Thank you

William!

i think all major brand programmers can return your vehicle back to stock with a problem.

Superchips, SCT and Edge

do you plan on adding an other upgrades to the truck?
cold air intake, exhaust etc?

No I have no intention on other physical upgrades but the way you saying is that all programmers will put back the old program with problems? That means
if i bring it back to the dealer for repairs, they will know that i have changed the program inside and have put back the old one?

Thanks

William!

I have a superchips.
it pulls the stock file out. replaces it with new programming.
when i have to go into the dealer..
I simply plug the programmer in. and tune the vehicle back to stock.

voila! back to normal..

However i have heard the programmer can leave traces there that ford will know it has been done.. BUT..
I haven't had a single problem.. and ford has done many computer updates on my truck.

I am running a SCT on my 2010 F150 4.6 and it returns the truck computer back to stock without and problems so far I am loving the extra power kinda hard to stay off the gas pedal at times.
