I know, its probably been covered in another thread, but I cant find an answer.
On a 2008 F350, the steering wheel doesnt return to straight. I disconnected the steering damper and it was no change. Ive had an alignment and no change. It isnt all that hard to steer.

What do I try next, steering box?

Do you mean that it doesn't return to straight ahead on it's own after turning a corner, or isn't straight as you run down the road.

If it's the latter, they probably didn't recentre the wheel during your alignment....

If it's the former, that sounds like a caster or camber issue (I'm leaning toward caster, but I can't remember which one affects it more)

In my experience, when the steering wheel doesn't return to center, that tells me the ball joints or front axle u-joints are starting to seize. The factory stuff is non greaseable so when ever they have to be replaced, I recommend buying greaseable ones so they can be maintained properly. Also, if you have to replace one joint (whether it's a u-joint or ball joints), I also recommend replacing all of them as once you have it apart it's not much more to do both as it is apart anyway. So you save on labor and expensive seals that you can't reuse.
