F350 5.4 needs more power

My dad has a 2007 F350 with the 5.4, and wants a little more power when towing. So far he says that he hasn't met a mountain he can't climb (has travelled from southern Ontario to Arizona twice with it), but wants some more get up and go. He has installed a Helix Power Tower TBS, a K&N Filter, and a Hypertech Max Energy Tune (believe its a canned tune). Was at the Ford dealer looking for a supercharger or such, but they don't make them for the SD 5.4, only the 150. I have done some searching, and looks like the best option might be a CAI, larger custom exhaust, and a custom tune (from 5startuning).
Just want to know if anyone has any other suggestions.

the 5.4 in the superduty is the same one in the f150 might be some small differences in programming and intake locations...

gearings an option.... but the 5.4 in a 1ton truck lacks alot of power not only to other ford engine options but the competition... its a decent option for a work truck that doesnt tow though...

maybe an upgrade ? v10 if he wants to stay gas or diesel if he wants more torque for towing...

Our work truck 2010 E350 5.4.
It has 4.10 gears.

If you went to any custom shop they would be able to outfit a supercharger with a custom tune. No doubt.
Not sure of reliably/ longevity after that tho.

Maybe find a donor diesel truck and swap over engine trans.

Or maybe trade in for a diesel.

Is the F350 4x4 ? is it a dually ? I'd be thinking finding a cheap deisel motor on kijiji or a whole truck and swap parts, sure you can add a C.A.I and a tune but you still won't get the needed power he maybe looking for so be just wasted $$$. If the motor is a high mileage motor a supercharger may rip it apart ( shruggs )

Roush / Whipple / Edlebrock / Magnacharger / Vortec blower will bolt straight on.

Have to mess with the CAI but still go on there.

She's gone but never forgotten! Replaced with a blown:
