f250 6.2 l

hi I'm new to the forum i have had 3 f150's with the 5.4 and they are a super engine, but i went to an f250 for pulling trailers.my question is, what kind of milage are you guys getting with your 6.2 liters.i know it is what it is,but my 5.4s all got around 20 mpg empty on the highway, but my 6.2 gets about half that.do they get better after break in? i love the power and the capability of the truck,so gas milage is secondary, but just curious.

My mileage for the 6.2 averages about 15.0 to 15.5 L/100 km (18.8 to 18.2 mpg IMP) according to the onboard, with the Raptor weighing in at 6550 lbs, full load of fuel.

The '13 FX4 I had ( 5.0 L) would average 14.0 to 14.5 L/ 100 km. (20.2 to 19.5 mpg IMP).

For all the screaming about how bad the 6.2's mileage is, it's not that much worse than the 5.0, and I'd even venture to say it's not that far from the Ecoboost numbers I've seen posted.

Basically costs me an extra $15 to go 1000 km over the 5.0........I'd say it's worth it. lol

801A - 6550 lb bundle of joy
