Is it the diesel much more noisy than gas?

Hi guys, i was wondering if a Diesel much more noisy than Gas? I'm still looking to buy one and since there is almost no difference between F350 and F250 the only question left to answer is to know how much more noisy than the gas V10. I'm looking now to a F350 Diesel 2008...The truck will not work much with me...

Thanks

William!

The new diesels are quiet (DPF exhaust). The older ones, and especially 7.3L one, are really f'in rattly. LR

you will spend 8k more for the diesel, your mileage will be low dbl digits at best and if you don't work the engine to keep it clean, it will be "regenerating" way too often. the newer diesels dont really make great daily drivers imho due to the addition of egr in 2004 and dpf's in 2008.

The new 6.4's are putting down some serious power with just a few things done to them...Common Rail is nice

So what you are saying is that if i dont use the DIESEL for heavy work is not good for the engine? Can you explain more in detail why?

Thanks
