2008 SD Lariat: Bushwacker flares, tire sizes.....

Sorry if this has been posted before I tried searching I REALLLY DID...

I was wondering if anyone had pics of an Oxford White 08+ Lariat SD with Bushwacker flares installed (street/OE/pocket) painted and unpainted? Is the consensus here that colour matched flares look better?

Also does anyone know the max tire size for the 08+ on factory 20" rims with no issues? What is the max size that can be programmed (by the dealer) to correct the speedo?

Thanks in advance

Personal preference on the flare color would be to match the white although black or charcoal look good as well particularly on an monochrome XLT. As far as pics, Look here. Just go to the gallery, punch in year, make and model. Punch in 'Superduty' for the model type.

The dealer, I believe can reprogram the speedo up to a 35" tire. There are aftermarket devices that can accomplish this as well. The 'TruSpeed' comes to mind. I think Superchips has something too.

I understand some guys are running a 35" tire on 20's with no lift.

Thanks Loosewheel.

Do you know what width of 35" people are running on the factory 20s? Does the width matter for the dealer to program the speedo for 35s? Do you need a leveling kit for the front to run 35s?

On that note...What is a good leveling kit?

I was debating going unpainted for the flares but my Lariat has chrome bumpers, grille and side steps... I thought it might make the truck look "unfinished"

They are running 12.50's.

Width has no bearing on the speedo cal. It's the revolutions per mile that is important, readily available at all tire manufacturers sites.

Not too familiar with the 08's and coil spring suspensions but Icon is a good bet.

Icon is the best bet for a leveling kit, if you have a 250 though you should get 350 blocks for the rear with the leveling kit so it ends up sitting level

I've got the 350

I've been reading on some sites that say the Readylift is a good kit and keeps the factory ride. Any thoughts?

From what i've seen the main attraction to the readylift is that it's cheap
