AirRaid/AFE CAI/Filters

Does anyone have experience with or opinions about AirRaid or AFE filters and cold air intakes? If so I would be happy to hear them!

Will. I've ran a few of them. Had one on my 97 f150 with the 4.6, one on the wifes 00 expy 5.4, and one on my 05 f150 5.4. These were the Airaids. Definately throatier/louder, but droned a little also at speed. Didn't really notice a power/mileage increase. You really need a tuner to take advantage of the extra air coming in. I see you have a 09 f250, which engine?

It's a 2009 F-250 with the 5.4L gas. My biggest concern is to get away from disposable filters and still be somewhat warranty friendly but I would also like to get the best bang for the buck if there is going to be any kind of increase in performance or mileage.

out of all the CAI's, S&B have the cleanest setup for the best price IMO

I have the AFE stage 2 but mines a diesel and honestly I think they are the best. Ive heard though Airaid makes amazing intakes for gas trucks!

i have a afe stage 2 on my truck and i really like it..i originally had just a k&n replacement filter and when i switched i had a noticeable power improvement...with my 35's and stock gearing and the k&n it was downshifting all the time, the slightest hill...then i switched to the afe and it didn't shift on those same hills anymore..so i gain just enough power to not shift don't know how much but it was a little anyway
