2002 F250 suspension

i was lookin at buying an F250 ext cab short box with the 5.4 and i was wonding if anyone could tell me what the suspension in the front is and is it a dana 60 with 4.1:1? and anything else you could tell me about those trucks, good or bad. its a 2002. Thanks.

they came with quite a few different gear choices(most were d60)if you get the vin# and front diff tag# i can decode you.

ahh. well im going down tomorrow to pick up the truck. i dont know any numbers yet though... so did some come with independant suspension? or all the sweet solid axle? im hopeing i got the solid axle lol. thanks again

No IFS. All straight axle.

IFS ended in '97. Does that make the "old" style, the "new" style?

lol yeah i guess so. So i guess they should have never changed it.... lol but i thought for sure i found on the net somewhere that some of the 99-2001 or something had IFS and i could have sworn today i seen that style of F250 with springs in the front. or am i just loosing my mind lol

99- 04 SD's had the solid leaf sprung front axle. In 2005, they switched to coils.

2001 F350 CC SWB 6spd....currently getting a complete 'makeover'. Stay tuned.

What do the 2wds have? Not that I would buy one just curious.
