they can be used for extra lighting (or any other accesorie you want run on a relay)or if you have a diesel can be used for a high idle.

a moments silence for the shelbyx,i hope her new owner enjoys as much.

I plan on using one of mine for the high idle option. I think two of the switches are rated for ten amps and the other two are rated for 30 amps.

Here's how I used mine (1 & 2 are fed off 30A circuits so they get the bigger jobs)

Aux 1: Trailer lights, they no longer come on with the headlights
Aux 2: Heated mirrors, they no longer are on just because the truck is running (duh)
Aux 3: twp tractor lamps on the ends of the trailer hitch for backup/ work lights
Aux 4: High Idle

I wish my Ranger came with the aux switch option, would look cleaner than an aftermarket install IMO. Well, the Rangers just don't get any real options anyways so I end up wishing for a lot.

I don't have a need for a fullsize, I get 'er done with my small truck, but it'd sure be nice if Ford built their smaller trucks the same as their larger ones.. but then again, who would pay $40k for a Ranger eh? LR

LR, I second your wish for some of the "big truck" options on our Rangers, but I'm realistic enough to know that's not likely going to happen anytime soon.

Then again, that's why the aftermarket was created, right?

I've got AUX 1 and AUX 2 (30 amps) connected to a pair of 100 watt lights each. AUX 1 does the inner 2, for long distance light straight ahead, AUX 2 is connected to the outer set, aimed out to the corners. I used to have 4 PAL lights connected to just AUX 1, but the were only 50 watts a piece and didn't last real long. You can see the old PAL lights mounted up in my avatar picture.
