Leveling kit and height

Hey guys...looking at a leveling kit for my F350 and am told by the guy at the shop that the fact of raising the front end to the level of the rear will not change the over-all height of the truck. My concerns are that I need my ride to get back into the garage. I have about 3' claearance at this point and am looking at getting some 35's thrown on and figure it may squeeze in with about 1/2 inch clearance...any thoughts?

Garage
I assume you have 3" of clearance (not 3') now, so adding a leveling kit and 35" tires may put you over the limit for clearance. Maybe you could find someone with the kit and/or bigger tires already and get them to drive under your garage door door to see if it will fit. Is putting a taller door in an option? I had to "adjust" my garage door opener to open an extra couple of inches so I could drive my old Ford (7" lift and airhorns) in the shop to work on.

I put the pro-comp 2 1/2" kit on my "06 F350 and then a set of 325-60-18's which are only about 33's, I can no longer make it under the 6'6" things at the mall but am ok with the 7'ers hope that helps a bit, if you need I can get you a semi accurate measurment on my truck tomorrow. and now that I reread things I will say the guy you talked to is FOS cause I cleared the 6'6" things before the kit. What part of AB you from?

Well thats a little more accurate..tks...My truck is standard height of 81 inches...garage door is 7ft or 84 inches....with a level and 35's I'm wondering if i'l be below the 3 inch mark. Cant seem to locate a tire height chart anywhere.

Going from 33's to 35's will add only one inch. Remember it's the extra radius...... not the diameter that is added.

2001 F350 CC SWB 6spd....currently getting a complete 'makeover'. Stay tuned.
