Monster truck gas mileage

I had to deliver some tires from North bay to Gravenhurst...its about a 180 km drive....anyways, my truck burned 60L of fuel 1 way ( 120L round trip)

Thats right..... 33.3L/100kms on the hiway

did some conversions and it works out to 7mpg on the hiway

With a big lift and big tires ( my 42" tires weight over 100 pounds each..without a rim)...my truck had alot of rolling and wind resistance...in fact..it wouldn't accelerate while coasting downhill

Not complaining...just letting all the potential 4x4ers know what to expect when lifting a vehicle and getting aggressive tires

7 MPG, kinda like my the Ram 2500 V10 my Dad had for work...oh wait that was stock. At least you don't expect good fuel economy from a truck that big.

Garage
Could be worse. Sherman tanks got about 2 gallons to the mile. Must of been the wind resistance from the turret ;p

You need at least 4.56 gears. Make a huge difference.

For 42" tires you'd need allot more than 4.56 gears
