Finally started a bumper

A friend and I finally got started on a rear bumper for my truck..it has been 2 years without one.

I forgot my camera when we were building it, but he took some pics with his camera phone. I'l try to get them up later

We wanted something similar to this

but with room to mount a license plate on the back

This is what we came up with...keep in mind it is not finished. we are going to recess the license plate and add tow points and lights

I cut about 10 inches off the bottom of the box and my really expensive flares

the bumper goes out to the edge of the flares and tapers back close to the body at the back

Its a high clearance bumper...my buddy only stopped because he was going to hit my tailpipe

Nicely done. You need to install a drop hitch to protect your tailpipe from Dodge Neons.

If Princess Auto were a real girl, I'd ask her to marry me.

Look good, I bet if you weight of you truck has really went up with those bumpers. Good clearance, you need some backup lights.

Looks great. What about some punch out for lights in it. Backing up in the woods at night...never too much light. R you doing any mudflaps or do the authorities not care in your area?

Yes we are putting lights and " hummer hooks" on the bumper...also thinking of modifying the exhaust so it doesn't hang so low

Garage
Looks awesome. Might want some kind of knotch's for hi-lift jack point. Gonna paint it, Line-X it or chrome it?
