New Guy Question

Hey guys, new here so I thought I'd start by asking a dumb question!
I am starting a new project and am hopefully looking at the truck tomorrow night and I don't have a bunch of time to research the truck (1997 F350 4x4, 7.3L) the truck doesnt have a box so I'm thinking it was a cab and chassis originally, it has dual rear wheels. What I'm wondering is: are a regular dually and the cab and chassis rearends the same width? Can I bolt a dually box onto this truck basically. Any help is muchly appreciated.
P.S. glad to find a Canadian truck forum

Welcome to Ford Tough!
If you go here:

https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenan...ls/default.asp

you can enter your VIN and verify if it's a Cab Chassis.

Then you will know if you have to check out other things like wheelbase, frame mounts, etc. If it's not a CC, then your good to go!

Ok, I haven't gotten ahold of the guy yet but I'm sure it's a cab and chassis
What I'm looking to end up with here is a 80-97 regular cab f350 4x4 (with a pickup box, I don't care if it's SRW or DRW although i would prefer Dual) which I am having troubles finding. There are a few welding trucks that I have found and a few cab and chassis. I'm guessing the welding trucks are cab and chassis as well, though they are fairly short wheelbase. How rare is what I am looking for? I've seen a couple F250's but I need the Dana 60 front. If they are as rare as they seem to be, my best bet might be to get this truck (bonus is that it is the 7.3) and weld an F250 rear frame section on which would give me the proper length and proper frame width. Or are they available enough that I can wait and find something?
