Blend Door

Blend door Resistor modual... on a 2007 F350 is it behind the glovebox area ? no manual just going by a few posts ive read on a google search but they were pre 2005 model years...

all i still have is low and high speeds.... actually forgot all about it untill it started to get cold out



2007 F350 6.0L Ext cab short box 4x4
2000 F150 5.4L Reg cab short box 2wd
?? always looking for a new ford project !

Blend door resistor? I think you're talking about the resistors that control the fan speed. Got nuttin' to do with the blend door (damper).

Not sure about the F350, but in almost every vehicle I've seen the resistors are mounted inside the air intake plenum on the engine compartment side of the firewall. To get at them, you usually take off the blower motor on the firewall, and they're inside the plenum. I think they mount them there because the blower fan pulls in cold outside air and it helps keep the resistors cool.

Somtimes they are seperately mounted on the firewall, but pointing into the plenum. Then you don't need to pull the blower motor.

Just look for something that looks like this:

the blower resister is underhood pass side beside blower motor.

well changed it... and..... now instead of low and high i have low/2nd speed up and high and no 3rd and the high doesnt blow as strong as it did with the old part...... ? so could this be another problem ? or just a bad new modual ?
