New project

I've been thinking that I need another BII for awhile now and finally found a decent deal on one and picked it up the other night. Since my dad loves to drive mine we've been looking for another so I can actually drive it again. The worst part of it is the rear quarters which are shot. Luckily it came with two brand new rear quarters still in the box. It also needs a front passengers side fender which I already had a spare for at home. The plan is to do an early bronco Dana 44 front axle swap and 8.8 or 9" rear axle swap. Also will be getting a 5.0L, around 10" suspension lift and a 3" body lift hoping to be able to run atleast 38" tires with no rub. The motor in it is supposedly rebuilt around 100 000 Kms ago and sounds smooth and runs great so it will be going into my current BII since the motor in it is starting to rattle pretty bad.

All this is going to have to wait until the shops completed though so I can tear it all apart with out being out in the shitty weather.

Sorry for the crappy night pic I haven't been home one night this week with daylight yet.

Ya I'm definetly wanting spring to come now so I can get the framing done and the the roof on the shop so I can tear into the new project. I'm starting to think I might have to build another shed just to put all my extra parts in that I've been collecting for all my projects or else I'm going to have the garage I said I wouldn't have like everyone else's I see. Right full of stuff and nowhere to park in it. Lol

I have been watching that one. it sounded like a decent unit, headers and all

it was for sale for a while........................ did you drag him down on the price?

I have an 8.8 out of a 93 explorer we parted out, its 3.73 tracloc. was a 2wd and never had a hitch on it so it hasn't been flogged.

there is a 93 explorer down in Sarnia I would like to look at for some parts for our 94, I am looking for body parts/interior and maybe the snows on it. i'm tired of looking at our explorer sitting at the farm while i struggle though the snow with Barney.

Nice score

Pm sent.
I didn't haggle the price any it was $1500 then he dropped to $1000. I called him when it hit that price and said I was coming with a trailer so he said he would let me have first dibs if I wanted it. It came with a bunch of odds and ends for it which made the BII itself fairly cheap. Couple sets of tires (not that they will fit it when it's done, but I can sell them), two sets of seats, all power options including the rear wiper/defrost and a/c. Four sets of headlights, spare tailligts, extra master cylinder, couple sub boxes, extra wheelcylinders bearings seals, headers, dual exhaust and he said he is sure he has more stuff for it but couldn't find it in the garage so in the spring he's going to bring whatever he finds to me.

It's definetly not going to be a couple week project like my current BII was but when it's done it's going to definetly turn some heads.
