any lifted sport tracs?

i'm selling my lightning and racking my brain on what to get next, i was thinking about getting a durango and an sts turbo kit, but having had a lightning i've learned that going fast takes a bottomless pit of money, an idea crossed my mind, getting an explorer sport trac, lift kit and 33's, anyone done this, pictures?

Sport Tracs are great wheelers. I put warrior shackels on the wifes with a torsion bar crank and put some 32" swampers( shackels and tires now for sale) and we had lots of fun with it. No pics though. One thing we don't like about the truck is it has constantly rattled when we hit bumps in the road. The bed is just not put together very well.

I've had two Sport Tracks in the past, although they were good overall, I wouldn't get another, overpriced and less than ideal fuel economy.

My folks have an 07 sport trac, great riding truck, but it can't really be lifted cause the rear half shafts go through the frame rails

there a good truck but if your a big guy and theres 2 you will probly touch shoulders in the front seats the nwest models have more shoulder room then the olderones

have seen a few lifted over at fordtruckworld but havent herd of guys really wheeling them more aless pavement pounders

torsion bar crank works but id invest in a lift the wearon the front end with a tbar crank doesnt make it worth it plus any serious offroading and the tbar crank actually makes it worse theres not much flex to the front suspension after its cranked

northway ford had a sweet 4.6l adrenelin sporttrack now thats a nice truck

Mine worked pretty good offroad with the t-bar crank, so did my old halfton, not extreme wheeling but it could still could still have some fun. the lift kits available for the ST don't really give you mch advantage offroad cause of the lowered torsion bar mount, your breakover angle does not get any better and you will get highcentered all the time. But if your not wheeling it then the lifts will give you what you want. Just my 2 cent.

If we were keeping ours I would put a BL on it and throw on a set of 35s.
