no heat in my 1998 explorer

i have a 1998 explorer 4.0 sohc limited adidtion 4x4.....

ok so heres whats going on one day me and my old ladie out driving in the woods heat working great then out of know were was lots and lots of cold air.
i didnt know were it was coming from i put my hand over the vents and found were it was coming from..

now my engine temp gage will go to half way i can turn the temp from hot to cold and the blower motor is working but their stilllll know heat not even a little just lots of cold air blowing threw the vent ....

if anyone knows this prob or could help it would be great thanx

sounds like a blend door issue,check fuse #10(7.5a),if thats good check the blend door motor (behind glove box on top of heaterbox)to see if moves.
