Excursion build up

My poor old reg cab 2000 F350 was alittle underpowered with the 44" boggers and the 5.4..... I also needed some more cab room, so I picked up a 2000 Ford Excursion 4x4

Its a V10 with 191000 kms...Its a base model with rubber floor and cloth benches, but it also has power locks/windows, CD player, Cruise, A/C, keyless entry..all things my f350 didnt have.

I ended up getting it for $5800 including a fresh paint job and a brand new 9500 lb winch

so the plan is to swap this stuff

on to this

I will be posting pics of the lift/bumper/flare swap as it progresses

Nice score..gonna be watching this transformation. and that v10 should help motivate it better too...Everything gonna swap over pretty much the same i guess..I always like the big Ex's..been in a v10 one once. Too bad they stopped making them.

This ought to be good!

If Princess Auto were a real girl, I'd ask her to marry me.

going to try to have it all done within a month.

I thought about the diesel, but they are still crazy money and alot heavier than the V10. my poor jeep friends have a hard enough time pulling me out without the extra weight of a diesel..hhhahaha

Well thats another nice Ford you have, only thing I don't like is the head lights ( not clear ) you will find with the v10 not the greatest gas mileage, best gas mileage my work truck got was 5/g and with you going to a 44" tire I can't see you getting anything more than 5/g ( 5 miles/ gallon ) but will follow this build up for sure and see how it turns out
