My own personal experience...
I had a terrible result from some Bilsteins'....way too stiff .
I have always gone with Koni after that.

if your truck will take it white pearl get something similar to that of the lightning. FRPP (ford racing performance products) also make a dynamic kit, which is one used on the FR500C mustang. its the suspesion kit im getting. the springs are progressive and work amazing from what i've read. Eibach or however you spell it are very good as well, but if you can afford it, get koni's.

the stock lightning bilstein's are pretty good at stock stance I was quite impressed. As kids we used to test our cars/motorcycles on an uphill s bend (unbanked). Tha fastest I took a motorcycle through was a 1982 750 honda scraped both pipe and foot pegs at 55 mph. Took my stock 04 lightning through at close to 50 mph and realized there was room for a faster speed. Never did. I was quite impressed.

Bilstein's would be a very nice upgrade, but it does depend on what you can afford and what you want to spend not to say that there aren't other good choices out there, I have a set of Bilstein 5100 series on my truck and am very happy with them, for your truck the front shocks are adjustable 0-2" so no need for a leveling kit so that can be a added bonus

Are Bilstein's the best - no.

Will they dramatically improve the ride of your truck - yes.

I have Lightning spec bilsteins on both trucks and they made a huge difference.

The ride is firmer, but the trucks are much more responsive in lane changes and highway on/off ramps.

If you don't want a stiffer ride then go with the supercrew spec bilsteins.
