I just went up from 275's to 285's on my FX4 and I can't tell a difference. The new tires measure just a hair under 33". I haven't noticed a power loss or decrease in fuel economy.

I went from 31x10.50's to 33x12.50's on my Ranger. I didn't notice much of a difference at all. On the highway is great, my mileage is even just a bit better from the lower rpms. It is slightly worse in the city, but I don't live there anymore so it doesn't bother me at all!

I found it sucked up a little power under acceleration and sucks a bit more fuel in town, but its much better on the highway. I'm only running 10.5 wide 33s though.

They also seem to stick to the road a lot better as well. LR

Did you get a dealer to reprogram the wheel size in your PCM? Tire/wheel size is a programmable parameter (and axle ratio, if you ever change it), according to the manuals.

If you have automatic transmission, it would affect the shift points, and therefore possibly the in-town mileage. Also would eliminate speedometer error.

If Princess Auto were a real girl, I'd ask her to marry me.

Nope, not yet. I'm going to get the to do it but I just haven't had the time. Its 1/2 labour (diagnostics charge or some bs) so around $50 I guess. I'm calling to around to find a cheaper price because thats pretty hefty for a 30 sec computer job, I've heard of dealerships doing it for $35. LR
