Lowering the '08 AWD HD version

There are rumours going on out there that the AWD version of the '08 F150 cannot be lowered with the presently available kits. Anyone shed some light on this as I was hoping to drop mine in the new year.

I'm looking into it, but I think there should be no problems with it

Ground Force has never shown a part number for their lowering kit. However I talked to them a few years back and they told me they had just never tested it. We installed it in a 2006 Harley for a good customer of mine and it has worked well ever since. If you open the Ford Motorsport Box, it is 100% Ground Force parts inside. We sell the Ford Motorsport Kit installed for $1,699. Member Price is $1,499 , retail is close to $2000. It is a 2" drop in front and 5" in back. Hope that helps

Thumbs down

Well after much 'surfing', chats with lowered F150 owners and many pms' to Blackstock, there really is no clear answer as to the question, only that those who have lowered an AWD F-150 have done so successfully even though most dealers that I spoke with, do not recommend the mod.
So after all that, in the Spring regardless of the negative dealer comments, my new baby gets dropped during a road trip to Orangeville.
Thanks to Blackstock for indulging my many PMs', before and after pics when mod complete.

Great news
Let us know when you will be coming up and we could meet up for lunch, or maybe have a nice evening meet

... and yet more info, apparently the '08 F-150 SC has the rear shocks in a different mounting position than in '07 so the DJM kit does not fit and I doubt if the '07 GF/FMS kit fits either. Spoke to the tech rep at DJM and a kit for the 08 is coming, probably the same for GF/FMS kits. I still have time...

So here's the latest, I'm leaning towards the DJM 3.5/5 kit, but my quote from a local Ford shop is $1100. This seems a bit steep, but in the ball park.
Anyone have any comments?
