Post Remote Starter

Santa brought me a remote starter for Christmas . Any suggestions on a good place to have it installed ?


Load It Like A Railcar........................... Drive It Like A Stockcar..........................

That for the bike Larry? Future Shop out this way does a decent job.

make sure they have their license to install remote starters..

Automotive Electronic Accessory Technician (310K)
Against the law for a shop to install them if the tech doesn't have that.

Also most mechanics hate doing them, as most hate wiring. So I would stay away from a mechanic's shop.


Best Buy was pretty strict on it, till they cut that dept. so I'd assume future shop would be the same, but always lemons somewhere..

Thanks guys ... I'll shop around did not know about the ( 310 K ) lic that's good information to have . Funny my son got one for me and I got one for him . The one he bought came from the CT at Dundas & Mavis here in Mississauga and they told him they install them there .

Oh did he get you the bypass module for it? (To bypass the coded keys) or interface module sometimes called.

Since your keys have a chip in them the truck won't start until the computer recognizes the chip. Need a bypass module to interface with the computer or supply a chip signal to satisfy the computer.

Hi Travis ... He did not get those items so I will have to purchase when I do the install .

We are just getting so info on installers and some quotes .

I did not know installers had to be "licensed"? Is that just in Ontario?
