Big battery

I just picked up an 09 Escape and will be installing my old system in it soon. The issue i've come across is i have a Kinetic 2400watt battery that doesnt seem like it will fit in the factory spot. Just wondering if anybody knows a way to get an over sized battery in there.

Thanks

Battery relocation. And/or 2nd battery with a battery isolator.

Stupid question, but how much do you gain from having an oversized battery that won't fit over the stock unit that will ? 2400 watt battery ?

If your lights are dimming, you got bigger issues than the battery would you not ?

At 2400 A/h your lights shouldn't dim for about 2 days.

Thats kinda what I'm saying….Travis, you need to add some context to "Keeps your lights from dimming" for the not so bright members of the forum.

Very punny no? lol

I'll try to post a pic of the battery when I get home. I had this battery in my last carand didn't want to have to get rid of it. I will also be upgrading the "big 3". The intake seems to be the biggest issue in that spot.

Big battery

Kinetik battery's were brought out for the car stereo world.

His 2400 Watt battery is in the rang of 100-110 Ah.

They have a faster discharging rate then standard batteries.
When high demand devices require high amounts of power the battery can deliver it without sacrificing voltage because it can't deliver the current. (Dimming the lights)

Im going to guess the OP had a decent sound system in a prior vehicle. The batteries are pricey in comparison to regular ones, but they are very well known for what they do because they do it well.

I hope I shed some light on the subject.
