Smile Sub Woofer with Stock System

Guys i know that it can be done but i have never done it... i want to keep my stock headunit ( 6 disk cd ) and put my sub woofer in the back of the escape... so how do i go about doing so

MTX Thunderform Enclosure or JL Audio Vehicle Specific Enclosure. Both have the ability to grab the sound signal from the rear speakers and amplify it. The MTX also has a smart "turn on" feature which basically bypasses running a remote wire to the amp by turning on and off when the audio signal turns on and off.

What your looking for is a Line Output Convertor very simple and cheap to install just did it on a 07 F150.

IMO I would go with a nice aftermarket deck you will never come close to the sound quality if you add a sub to your factory deck, but it does sound OK. who needs 6 cd's now a days, when you have mp3's and satelite radio...

I only drive in the city, to get out of it!!!
