I got a Cobra Handheld CB that I got from my brother in the states after he got a reg. CB for his truck!!! I wanted one BUT since I take only a few trips a year and really didn't see the need for a regular CB unit. The handheld works great for me for the few times I use it!!!

Just haven't heard much about CB's anymore. Figured with cell phones and the new walkies they don't get used anymore.

I don't see CB's much anymore either, most companies in the bush around here are switching to 2 way radios, and that's what we use also (handhelds), I would like to find a 2Way/CB as one Mobile Unit any one know of any???????Need to be able to programe the 2way myself.

I only drive in the city, to get out of it!!!

I just got a CB for the truck for christmas, also got a couple handheld units so I can keep in touch with camp when I go riding. Just researching install and mounting now, hopefully have it in the truck by the end of the day.

I have a Cobra 29. It works well and has a built in swr tuner so you can tune your antennas without an additional unit.

Do your research and figure out how to set it up properly. There's tons of info online and a lot of guys have pictures of their set ups so you can get some ideas on how you want it to look. Most people with pick ups have dual fiberglass antennas, including me because I like the look, but wiring them both up actually degrades your signal. Save some cash and just buy one 50ohm coax cable if you want duals.

I bought my stuff on kijiji and saved a ton of cash and it's convenient on fishing trips and my many high way commutes.
