Exclamation Challenge to all! Please get my dvd to play out of park!!!

I'm leavn for moose hunting on friday and up for a long drive. my passengers would love to watch a movie on the trip. This new system is causing me a little grief cuz it will not show video out of park!

Had the mechanic trace the wires and i'm thinking it is a software issue.... must be a way to get into the system in a "safemode" to allow access to video play when out of park.... Time is ticking and would be great if we could break this code this week! lol.... any one up for the challenge?

Maybe post up a close-up of the player, model/number, year, is it a stock unit if yes, what are truck specs?

Somebody might get board and spend a few hours trying to figure it out for you.

Mine is the same. It wont play if the e-brake is not on. I did the one click thing and the dvd will play but there is a warning ding for the e-brake..

Have heard it's very hard to do with Factory systems, I'd phone around to some aftermarket audio/video shops.

Might have a hard time, with the 09 being so new would be hard to find writ-up online for a little while.
