System Hook Up

i have a 2008 f-150 xlt with the 6 disk cd changer and the 8' factory sub, but i want to upgrade that sub.

does anyone know if it is possible to install a bigger sub and amp to the factory 6 disk cd changer deck?

yes it is possible to use the stock head unit but you have to re wire for ur amp and sub you can not use factory wiring!!! will not work. Go to your local electronics store that sells car audio and ask them about it there is a thing you need to get to hook up after market subs to ur stock deck. i cant remember what its called at the moment lol

Thank you but I think it would be a bit much of a commute to go pick up .
I, at my personal best won't use UPS - they cost too much & with the increase by our postal service - I am not too sure how much shipped that would cost.

But thanks for the offer.

it should be illegal to upgrade the sound system in your truck if your gonna leave stock parts in it, i for the life of me cannot understand why people do this.

you spend so much money on an upgrade, but the stock unit can't even utilize it to its full potential, your just wasting cash man

you should go to nemesis audio to get the wires and you might also want to grab a low pass static filter
