The 83 Ranger Build

So last April I grabbed an 83 Ranger Reg Cab short box, little did i Know that I would be in for so much work......


The body was a bit rough on it and i took the guys word on the floors n frame...Needless to say I shouldn't have.

The Rear frame ends were rotten as were all the cross members. But I have them all good now.

I put in drop springs and rear flip kit for now untill I get my I-Beams in.

Took the cab off to start to clean up the remainder of the frame

Holy I think I would have striped it to start to do the whole frame at once so you knew where you stand with the truck, but everyone does things different. Keep us posted and the pictures coming on the progress

Heres a little update of where the frame stands right now


Also having my 331 built currently for the truck, Looking for somewhere over 400hp to the wheels, but time will tell

Cool "little" project. Gonna bolt a 5/6 speed stick on the back of that motor (auto's are yawn/boring)? Looks like you have another cool project going on there too. Nice shop too btw.

Its a fully built t5 going behind it, wish i would have gone with a t56 as i spent almost as much building my t5 to handle 500hp
